Apply for the MEXT India Scholarship Today. The Scholarship is created by the Embassy of Japan in India for Master and PhD program. This scholarship is available for Indian students who wish to pursue their Maters and PHD studies in Japan. Being a fully funded scholarship, the scholarship will cover full tuition for Indian students in a Japanese educational institution. The MEXT scholarship is open for Indian students irrespective of their background.
MEXT Scholarship India
MEXT is abbreviated as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). The mext scholarship was created by the Japanese Ministry of Education for International students to support them in their educational careers to study in Japan. Indian students with a bachelor’s degree in any programs from social sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Economics and Business, Humanities, and Arts are eligible for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants from all parts of India are eligible for the scholarship
Applicants must have a bachelor degree or its equivalent in the relevant field at the time of Master Degrees applications.
Applicants must have bachelor and Master degrees or its equivalent in the relevant field at the time of PhD applications.
Applicants must have a good academic standing: at least 65%-mark sheet
Applicants must have their degrees/transcripts/mark sheet before 30th September 2021 for the October 2021 batch
Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application
Applicants must be in good physical and medical health
There’s currently no language proficiency test required but recipients must be interested to learn the Japanese Language after the award.

How to Apply for the MEXT India Scholarship
Eligible candidates can apply for the MEXT Scholarship following the steps below:
Applicants will first have to download the Preliminary Application form of MEXT Research Scholarships 2021 for Master and PhD
After filling the required fields carefully students can then email the application form to scholarship-india@nd.mofa.go.jp

Recommendation letter from the president/dean or the academic advisor

Benefits Of MEXT India
The Japanese Government MEXT Research Scholarships 2021 for Master and PhD is a fully funded scholarship which will cover the Airfare, Tuition and registration fee, Accommodations, Monthly Stipend for master (JPY 143000), for PhD ( JPY 144000) also included 2000 or 3000 JPY extra for specifically designed region of study, Health Insurance and all other research support.

Note: Owing to the ongoing situation related to COVID-19, there is a possibility that the application procedure could be stopped or changed at a later stage, and the Embassy may entirely cancel the selection of candidates of the scholarship programs, for the academic year 2023.
